Mike is a Babalawo initiated in the Afro Cuban Lukumi tradition of Ifa! Having lived in Miami, he encountered Santeria culture repeatedly, but never considered the idea of practicing. An unexpected health scare led him to seek counsel from an Ifa priest that was able to provide assistance leading to his recovery. This led him down a path which ultimately led him to initiating into Obatala and the mysteries of Orunmila!
